More on Astrophotography

Just a little over a month back into Astrophotography and I have been really learning a great deal about my setup:
- how my scope adapts to prime focus techniques
- prime focus vs afocal techniques
- frustrations on getting a "settled" atmosphere (read: weather not cooperating)
- scope vibrations
- proper camera settings for different scenarios / targets (ISO / BULB / shutter timing / etc)
- use of astro-filters
- use of photo-editing software
There are many things I am working on, posting some of my work to facebook. One thing I am oh, so very happy about... I am using a DSLR to take photos, so I get immediate feedback, if I was using the old 35mm film camera I would be about $1000.00 poorer right now, mostly from film processing / film costs.
Thank God for digital cameras.. :-)
One thing that still bothers me is how seemingly easy, yet very hard to implement... afocal shooting is... grr

Onwards and Upwards!
